S y n o p s i s

OverLab blends Cantonese opera and contemporary dance, transcending boundaries between tradition and modernity. Five artists engage in cross-disciplinary dialogue, exploring freedom and constraints within “traditional” and “contemporary” frameworks. Through refined movement and stage design, the work celebrates Hong Kong’s cultural fusion, challenging artistic limits. Accompanying research and a documentary capture this collaborative journey, showcasing inclusivity and innovation.
