Cyrus Hui Artistic Director

Cyrus Hui, Artistic Director and co-founder of Siu Lung Fung Dance Theater, centers his choreography on interpersonal politics and identity, guiding audiences to reflect on roles and relationships. A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), he received a Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund scholarship to complete a post-graduate program at Folkwang University of the Arts, Germany. Currently pursuing a Master’s in the School of Theatre & Entertainment Arts at HKAPA, specializing in spatial design, he explores the fusion of dance and spatial aesthetics. His notable works include Run (2023, winner of the 2024 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Small Venue Production), In-between Love (2018), OverLab (2022), and Positioning (2010, winner of the 2011 Hong Kong Dance Award for Outstanding Environmental Dance). Hui has participated in international exchanges in Germany, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and China, actively promoting the Asian Dance Network to foster cross-cultural collaboration and elevate Hong Kong contemporary dance on the global stage.
Sylvia Lee Dance Artist

Sylvia Lee is a Hong Kong dance artist, educator, and co-founder of Siu Lung Fung Dance Theater, dedicated to professional dance education and cross-cultural exchange. A graduate of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with an Honours Bachelor’s degree, she received the Ohel Leah Synagogue Scholarship for her talent. Blending ballet and contemporary dance techniques, she has collaborated with Hong Kong Ballet, City Contemporary Dance Company, and Hong Kong Sinfonietta, creating impactful works. She has participated in international exchanges in Chongqing, Seoul, and Kuala Lumpur, performing and sharing Hong Kong’s dance legacy at global festivals. Currently pursuing a Master’s at HKAPA, her Hong Kong Arts Development Council-funded project Head to Toes promotes physical and mental awareness through workshops with young dancers. Expanded to HKAPA’s GYDP program and local dance schools, the project has profound impact. Her teaching and choreography inspire a new generation, fostering creative exploration in global dance communities.
